Have you Tried Daffodils To Go Canned Wine from Seaside Pearl?
Have you Tried Daffodils To Go Canned Wine from Seaside Pearl? @SSPearlWinery @winebcdotcom #somm #sparklingwine #fraserValley #summer #patio
I now can say I’ve tried my first can of BC wine, courtesy of Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery and their Daffodils To Go Sparkling Wine 2019 from the Fraser Valley. This sparkling wine is made with the Charmat method (think Prosecco) so that you can enjoy a sparkling wine soon after the grape harvest. I had to sit on my patio to open and enjoy this wine. It is 250ml so not a problem to finish by…

Seaside Pearl The Connaught Syrahs from the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys
Seaside Pearl The Connaught #Syrahs from the #Okanagan and #Similkameen Valleys @SSPearlWinery @winebcdotcom @FVHeritageRail #somm #luxury #terroir #bcwine #bcvqa
I do enjoy scientific experiments, especially if it is related to wine.  This day I had a chance to experience both.  I received two Syrahs from the 2018 vintage made by Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery, with one from the Similkameen Valley and the other from the Okanagan Valley.  I tried to determine if the climate and soils between the two valleys cause significant differences in the aromas and…

With Dr. Henry lifting restrictions for us in BC being able to travel within our zone for recreation purposes, I present you with two Lover's Lane wines by @seasidepearl_winery .  One is a Cabernet Franc and the other Cabernet Sauvignon, from 2018.  I will explain the Lover's Lane for the labels of these 2 wines in my mywinepal.com article.  For now, let me tell you about these wines as you prepare your trips, and maybe are up for a bbq with two tasty red wines. Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery Lover's Lane Cabernet Franc 2018 Appearance: A lighter very translucent garnet colour, consistent from rim to core. Nose: A medium intensity nose with smoky sausage and bacon, toastiness, red fruit, raspberries, sweet spices, and a touch of floral. Palate: Dry with a lighter mouthfeel and semi-roundness.  Raspberry, red fruit, some floral, smokiness, red cherries, black currants, capsium/cedar and light sweet spices.  Medium acidity.   Finish: A medium plus length finishing dry with light drying tannins.  More acidity on the finish.  Red fruit, pepperiness and a touch of cedar. Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery Lover's Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Appearance: A deep black garnet colour. Nose: An interesting nose, medium-minus intensity, with a mix of vanilla, baby powder, sweet spices, cedar, red cherries, black fruit, and touches of smoke, nutmeg, and dark chocolate. Palate: It has a touch of sweetness, full-bodied, round with a thick, meaty feel.  Drying medium intensity tannins.  Black fruit, blackberries, black cherry, nutmeg cloves, vanilla, and some bitter oakiness and dark chocolate. Finish: A medium-plus length finishing with vanilla, dark chocolate bitterness, red cherries, and black fruit, Dry firmer tannins and pepperiness. Quite a difference between these two wines.  Yin and Yang, masculine and feminine.  Stay tuned for my full tasting notes, including decanting, on mywinepal.com. #winewriter #somm #winemedia #redwine #winelovers #wineblogger #luxury #bcwineries #bcvqa #okanagan #Similkameen #drinklocalwine #buybcwine #bcwine #bcfoodie #winesofbc #Cabernet https://www.instagram.com/p/CPUFSvLsDzH/?utm_medium=tumblr

I am delighted to try 2 Syrahs from @seasidepearl_winery today.  Both are from the 2018 vintage, but one is from the #Similkameen Valley and the other is from the #Okanagan Valley.  It was interesting to see what differences you get between #Syrah from the 2 valleys.  The label for both shows The Connaught, an electric car that ran on the BC Electric Railway.  I will get into more details about The Connaught in my main article.  Let's talk about wine. Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery The Connaught, Okanagan Valley, Syrah 2018 Appearance: Deep garnet with a ruby tint, about 85% opaque.  Tears apparent with swirling. Nose: A medium-minus intensity nose, with sweet aromas.  Sweet spices, cedar, red fruits, plums,  and red cherries.  With some air, you get Xmas cake and black fruit aromas as well. Palate: This wine is dry, very smooth, and round.  Medium acidity and medium intensity silky tannins.  Well-integrated fruit flavours that all mesh together; red and black fruit, ripe raspberries, blackberries and plum, along with cedar, and oak. Finish: A medium plus length with a smooth finish and light drying tannins.  Red fruits, sweet spices and pepper, then cedar and sweet spices at the very end.   Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery The Connaught, Similkameen Valley, Syrah 2018 Appearance: A very deeply coloured wine.  Garnet with a ruby tint.  Just some translucency at the rim.   Nose: Medium-plus intensity, rich aromas.  Ripe red and black fruit, leather, gaminess, sweet spices, cinnamon in particular, and cedar. Palate: Dry, and starts off feeling thin and angular, but with some swirling, in the glass, the wine opens up and becomes rounder and thicker.  Light intensity fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.  Brambleberries, cassis, black fruits, vanilla and sweet spices and a touch of oak. Cedar toward the finish.  With air, you also get a dark chocolate note and some salty minerality. Finish: A medium plus length that finishes with ripe, juicy black fruit, red fruit, sweet spices, black pepper and cedar flavours. Stay tuned for my full tasting notes, including decanting, on mywinepal.com. #winewriter #somm #winemedia #redwine #bcwine #bcvqa #luxury https://www.instagram.com/p/COWXMcvsgGF/?igshid=jos2msghic2o

A Steak Friendly Red Blend from Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery @SSPearlWinery @winebcdotcom #bcwine #bcvqa #bordeauxblend #somm #chef
Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery Landing Road Red Blend label My last wine to taste from Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery is their 2018 Landing Road Red Blend from the Okanagan Valley. It is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes; a Bordeaux blend. I have been mentioning their labels in my previous articles and this one is titled “Landing Road”.  According to the winery,…
